  • 1 teaspoon gochugaru Korean chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup chicken broth or water

Optional Add-Ins & Toppings:

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese – For creamy cheesy Buldak ramen.
  • 1 soft-boiled egg – To balance the heat.
  • ½ cup cooked chicken shrimp, or tofu – Adds protein.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds – For crunch.

INSTRUCTIONS
 

Cook the Noodles

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  • Add the ramen noodles and cook according to the package instructions (about 2–3 minutes for instant noodles, 4–5 minutes for fresh noodles).
  • Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking, then set aside.

Make the Spicy Buldak Sauce

  • Heat a small pan over medium heat.
  • Add gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, garlic, honey, and sesame oil.
  • Pour in chicken broth (or water) and stir well.
  • Let simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Combine Everything

  • Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the Buldak sauce.
  • Toss well over low heat for 1–2 minutes until evenly coated.
  • If using cheese, sprinkle ½ cup shredded mozzarella on top and cover for 30 seconds to let it melt.

Serve and Enjoy
